"One of the things I really love about teaching is just how creative and dynamic it is... there's also this element of improv that I really like as a teacher."
"If you have happy teachers, that's going to feed off on the students... if the teachers aren't happy, the students notice it and they’ll say they don’t seem as excited this year."
"I think because the curriculum is really tied locally to Tucson, they can see how their education is linked to where they live, that it’s not just arbitrary."
"I think the more communication that you can have with a student and their parents or their guardians, the better... it creates a really nice relationship."
"I have been really lucky to be at schools that have given me a lot of freedom... and I have more confidence to create lesson plans that are creative and exciting."
"I think teaching is a really dynamic career... it's rewarding but can be extremely difficult at times, but those moments where you connect with a student make it worth it."
